New Faces

My most frequent commissions are portraits.  While there is generally less room for artistic expression in a portrait, you cannot help but find unique opportunities for creativity in every new face you draw.

I spent the summer of my Freshman year of college drawing hundreds of faces at Cedar Point, in Sandusky Ohio.  It was one of the toughest, yet best experiences of my life.  Never have I been so attached to the drawing board, and never have I so critically used my eyes when drawing.  I was able to make out the deepest, most wonderful expressions of the human face.  That time has allotted me the experience I desperately needed during my training in college, to produce lifelike, animated faces.  Here are a few recent pieces:
